Co-codamol is a painkiller which contains an opioid and paracetamol and is effective for the short term treatment of acute moderate pain caused by headaches, dental pain, neuralgia, period pain and rheumatic pains, and should be used when other painkillers such as Ibuprofen and Paracetamol have not worked.
